The NNAF builds power within local communities across the country to remove financial and logistical barriers to abortion access by centering people who have abortions and organizing at the intersections of racial, economic, and reproductive justice.
Their website described an abortion fund as, “a group of people who will help you pay for your abortion when you can’t afford it. Some funds are able to help you with travel, lodging, child care, doula, and translation services so that accessing an abortion is less challenging. Abortion funds also work to change laws and culture that make abortion hard to get.”
The work being done at the NNAF is crucial and heroic in this moment when such basic liberties are being stripped from so many.
